The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is for Australians who have a permanent disability. The NDIS can provide information to all people with disabilities and connect them to all different types of service providers in their community. To see if you’re eligible for NDIS funding call 1800 800 110.

Allied Family Physiotherapy is a registered NDIS provider. We are able to offer gym based sessions, home exercise sessions and hydrotherapy sessions in these areas. Our aim is to help the disabled community feel supported, to empower them to achieve more independence and to improve their overall health and well-being. We have extensive experience when dealing with the NDIS including support coordinators, plan managers, local area coordinators, carers and participants. The exercise sessions will be one on one and based around the participant’s plan based goals.

We have the ability to create invoices which are directly uploaded through the NDIS portal or we can send these invoices to plan managers and support coordinators. For funding to be approved to see an Exercise Physiologist the participant must have funding in the “Improved health and well-being” or “Improved daily living” subcategory. If you’re not sure if you have funding available please contact us and we will be able to assist.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists provide important healthcare services to people with many different disabilities and to the mainstream community. Our goal is to support your functional movement goals and to ease pain.
What can I expect from my first appointment?

A physiotherapist is a highly trained allied health professional with expertise in the human body’s structure and movements.
Your first appointment provides an opportunity for you and your physiotherapist to get to know one another.

Your physiotherapist is likely to ask you questions about your:

  • Symptoms or concerns
  • Lifestyle and interests
  • Medical history
  • Overall health and wellbeing.

After reviewing that, we’ll conduct a physical assessment and, from there, we can develop a treatment plan that meets your needs.

There’s some paperwork to complete before your first appointment. We’ll email this to you when you book. If you prefer to complete the forms in hard copy, please arrive 10 minutes early.
