Daniel always loved sport and was the kid running warm ups before school games. An injury of his own led him to a physiotherapist whose guidance got him back to cricket quickly, and that experience made the career choice easy.
What he enjoys most is helping people understand what is actually going on with their injury, making sure they feel heard, and giving them practical steps to manage symptoms and get back to the things they love. Patients are often surprised that exercise is a treatment in its own right, not just general fitness.
The moment he knew he was in the right job: a client who had injured her foot in an accident and was frightened to take her moon boot off for treatment. After a careful conversation they started, and he was able to take her pain away while standing. That gave her hope and the confidence to stick with her exercises.
Daniel's advice if you have been putting it off“Address health concerns before they become debilitating. It is easier to treat, easier to manage, and it helps prevent the next injury too.”
Long distance running and chasing faster times, strength work in the gym, and bingeing a favourite TV show with coffee and popcorn.
