Josh grew up in England with a football habit and recurring hamstring injuries, which meant a lot of time in physiotherapy rooms. The physios who kept him doing what he loved are the reason he trained to become one himself, so he could do the same for other people.
His defining moment came on a hospital placement on an acute stroke unit. Over four weeks he worked with a man who could not sit on the edge of the bed without two people supporting him, and finished with two laps of the ward on a walking stick, Josh beside him. The look on his family's faces carried Josh through the rest of his studies and into a job at that hospital.
Patients are often surprised at how wide the scope is: diagnosing muscle, joint and neurological conditions, rehab after injury and surgery, and treatment in clinic, at home and even in the pool. What he enjoys most is building real relationships with people from every background and being there for the big and small wins.
Joshua's advice if you have been putting it off“There is never going to be a perfect time to ask for help, and you should never accept pain as your new normal. Take the small step of booking in today.”
Moved to Australia nine months ago and is exploring as much of the country as he can. Keen marathon runner, three this year, chasing a sub 2:50.
Liverpool coming back from 3 nil down to beat AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League final. Inspirational.

The family feel around the clinic. The coffee shop next door, the army base down the road, and everyone keen for a chat and a recommendation.
